Numerous Owners have indicated that the Yi Dash Cam loses focus once the camera heats up (i.e. sitting in sunlight for approx 1 hour). This could be because of a poor quality lens / lens holder but we are not certain how widespread the problem is. You can read more about it on our forum here. Be aware that from attention issues were somewhat common about the Yi Action Camera as well.

Firmware Update Instructions

 

1. Extract the firmware file

 

2. Delete any files in the memory card

 

3. Copy the firmware.bin file to the empty memory card

 

4. Add the card to camera

 

5. Connect to continuous USB power supply, don't disconnect power at any time during update procedure

 

 

6. Once update has completed camera will startup according to normal
